ANTIQUE GLASS INSULATORS WANTED
Insulators wanted: Antique glass insulators – threadless insulators, etc. Canadian insulator collector located in Central/Eastern Ontario looking to buy glass and/or porcelain threaded and threadless (unthreaded with smooth pinhole) insulators in any colour. These were used on the old telephone poles, telegraph and power poles along roadways and railways.
Quite often these are dug up during excavations or demolitions in older areas, in old foundations, along roadways, railways or have been stored in barns, basements or attics for many years. Even plain-looking or damaged insulators can be scarce and have some value.
**Also looking for insulators with no names or writing of any kind. This can sometimes indicate an older insulator.
Also interested in buying embossed glass bottles with city names on them from Peterborough, Lindsay and Campbellford, (Ontario) these were used by Soda bottlers and druggists such as:
Peterborough: Knox Bros, D. Knox, Croft, Foy & Starr, Calcutt, Grady, Lynch, Nugent.
Lindsay: D. Smart, J.B. Begg Lindsay, Begg Brothers.
Campbellford: D Knox Campbellford, Chas Horsman Campbellford
